Movement Education for Teachers - Foundation Course

When you train to teach no-one tells you how physically gruelling your job will be and how you will regularly experience shoulder, neck and lower back pain.  Daily pain impacts your mental health and your overall ability to enjoy your job and create supportive learning environments for your students.

We also understand that your lives are packed to the brim with stuff to do and that the all essential 'exercise' is regularly missing from your day and you permanently carry that guilt around with you that, if only you 'exercsied' your body will serve you better. 

Exercise is just one part of the whole body maintenance picture.  Movement is far more for maintaining all the systems and the structure of the body.

Join our Movement Foundation Course to start your journey of understanding how small changes to how you move can have lasting positive impacts on your experience of pain.

 

This course will help you:

  • Learn the tricks of weaving more movement into your day and your classroom.
  • Learn to sense your alignment and posture and identify the habits of how you move are causing the pain you are experiencing.
  • Teachers bend a lot yet never learn how to do it well, and what to do to balance your body out when you have been bending over desks all day and looking down.
  • Understand how shoulder and neck pain is caused and learn some small daily moves and alignment tips to prevent/manage.
